Steve will guide you through a goal setting process, evaluate your progress to date, and assist you in making adjustments to reach your full potential. No charge for a 30 minute introductory call; $75/hour thereafter.
Steve Kelley served as USA Triathlon’s Junior & U23 Program Manager (formerly Athlete Development Coordinator) from 2006 - 2020. He is a USA Triathlon Level II Coach (since 1999) and a USAT Youth and Junior Coach. He also served as a technical advisor for FISU’s World University Championships and led/co-led five teams to the championship at locations around the globe. As a coach and talent development leader, Steve was instrumental in identifying and guiding numerous U.S. elite triathletes from the earliest stages of their careers. He supported dozens of U.S. national teams at international competitions and served with the U.S. team in Rio in 2016. In 2012, 2016 and 2020, Steve helped write the selection criteria for the U.S. Olympic Triathlon Teams. As a program manager, Steve led a team of dedicated coaches that developed one of the world’s finest and most productive talent identification, recruitment and development systems seen to date. Steve’s coaching philosophy is straight forward, goal driven, and personally responsive. Steve will guide your training with a mindset toward consistency and growth. He recognizes the need for life balance, the importance of young athletes acquiring a solid education to round out their athletic pursuits, and understands the burdens that pursuing dreams in triathlon place on the entire family. Whether your goal is to complete your first sprint triathlon or make the U.S. national team, Steve has the experience and steady approach to get you to the finish line.
